Hi...

everytime I try to burn a DVD from a simple 500MB sequence,
I get an error stating "out of memory" while burning and it stops.

I've got about 80GB still remaining on my hard drive.

I've set presets to: NTCS Progressive 4X3 High Quality VBR 2 Pass
Export range: Entire Sequence
Fields: NONE

Left the boxes unchecked for Max Bitrate and Force Variable.

I've tried different preset combos... nothing is working. I've got 2 DVD burners, getting the same out of memory ERROR on both. Both drives are new, and have burned CD's o.k.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Darryl

It didn't say you were out of hard disk space. It said "out of memory".

Are you per chance running on a PC. Some video card settings conflict with a variety of operations in various programs. Turn off any video card hardware accelerations that use on board routines which might be accessed from Premiere for fast previewing and see if it will render. Or for that matter just temporarily turn off all video acceleration and see if its a conflict.

Hi, I'll try it. The burners are Sony and H.P.
My Video card is an ATI Radeon x800 XL
PC xp Windows...

Turn off video acceleration..? Where? I'll hunt around..... Thanks for the tips... I'll be back...

Go to your desktop, right click, click on properties, click on settings tab, click on advanced button, click on troubleshoot and you should see a slider in middle of dialog which is labeled hardware accelaration and ranges between full and none. Switch it to none and apply. You should be able to make change without rebooting.

Hi... Did it... and still negative... I rebooted and still get the same "out of memory" crap on both drives.

What to do? do the other settings affect this?

Don't force bit rate or force bit rate??

I'll bet it's something very simple and small.. yet where???

the burners are X16... the disks are DVD+RW 4X...

I'm lost................

Thy these:

1. Render the whole file as 1. Import it back and then do a burn to DVD. See if that works.

2. Don't force the bit rate and burn it non progressive.

Is your orginal size is 720x480?

You scored!! Non progressive was it...! (what ever that means..?)

I hit the Render function once before, and the little pop up started to Render...
Also, I noticed when it was done, the time line starts to move.... is that part of the rendering process? I let it roll to the end before I burned the DVD...

You Rock, Thanks!

..it just plays the timline after rendering.. you dont have to watch it if you dont want to.
