Latest Firmware Update for HMR10: What is it?

I received an email notifying me of the latest firmware update for my AG-HMR10, with the notation that it has something to do with,

A new recording mode added. (PM mode for a long-time recording).

But neither the email nor the website will elaborate on it. It gives more information about the P2 Status Logger, which is only the app that assists with the download and install.

Does anyone know what this HMR10 update will actually do?

PM is a new mode they added for 720p. Previously 720p was only available in PH mode, which takes up about 21 to 24mbps. PM mode is a low-bandwidth 8 megabits, so it allows you to record for 3x as long as PH mode.
