I was watching this Google Plus promotional video. It appears that they shot an actual LCD display - you can see the grid lines of the display in the closeups. However, notably, there is no moire!

I tried shooting my LCD monitor with my GH2 and get moire all over when in focus. Off focus, the moire becomes less noticeable. I tried different shutter speeds, aperture, ISO, etc to no avail.

I'm wondering how they achieved such a clean result and sharp focus in this video? Any suggestions/ideas? Thanks!

Try using ETC mode. Remember it introduces a 2x crop, but it is 1:1, as in it only uses 1920x1080 pixels on the sensor.

wouldnt be surprised if it was all motion graphics not an actual monitor. i am sure google would have the budget for that =)
