Anyone done any digital blood in vegas? Or is there a plug in for it? Or do you use maya or 3dfx?

I guess that depends on what kind of blood you are looking for. Dripping, spilling, flying, squirting, pooling? there are many different ways blood can be shown, each having advantages and dissadvantages as far as creating those effects.
However, if this is going to be blood from a live action shot, digital blood almost always looks, well, digital. IT is best to do it in real life.

You could . . . animate a mask and selectively color-correct someone’s arm, say, so it looks like blood is running down it.

However, Vegas is not a 3D animation app. And as scharky says, this sort of thing is much better handled practically.

I thought he was referring to a new plugin, Digital Blood(tm).

That'd be an awesome plugin -- really add a kick to all those safety videos we do.
