Chris, Filled in all the boxes except the copyright release checkbox and get an error "Please fill in the required item(s)."
I think it's looking for that box to be checked.

You have to check the one that says this is your material, but you don't have to let DVXUser use your script.

Yes, I checked the original creation radio box. Can't imagine anybody checking the other. :)
Has anybody else been able to get a script posted?
I can pm you a screenshot if you need it.

I'll check on it.

Having some tech difficulties. I filled out the form and chose my PDF file of the script and then received this message about halfway through the upload.

You are trying to upload a PDF?

Surely PDF is the standard format? That's what I got too.

I got the same reply as Derek W, so no idea whether it worked or not.

It appears to not be working at this time.

Sorry for the problems folks ... I think it should be working ok now.

I've been in the middle of a complete fest system overhaul for a while now. I'm rebuilding the entire code base from the ground up. As part of that I installed and newly configured the latest version of the upload script. I've been testing it successfully for several days, but I made one configuration modification specific to this fest when I brought it online and that caused the problems.

I've cleared up that issue ... hopefully that will be the last.

Thanks for your patience

I tried again just now with the same PDF file as yesterday and I think it worked... No error message this time. Hope it worked.

It closes on 9th, right? I have something in the works but another thing came up and I just have to finish it before I rewrite/edit. I can't upload what I have right now - it's just dreadful. Is there any chance for the upload be open past Feb 10th?

Chris_Keaton

Deadline for submission is midnight PST on the 5th.

Oh... Then I'm most definitely out. Have to finish that something and don't have time for anything else at all. Good luck to everyone!

For some reason I thought it was Feb 9th.

I've just uploaded - pretty sure it all worked, although I only ever saw one checkbox (the one saying that I wrote it and hadn't plagiarised anything). Has the second checkbox disappeared, or was I just being really blind?

You are in, but I did notice you miffed on the title page. You are allowed to have a title page. :)

26... not sure it's an internal time problem since clocks are inherently external, unless you are part robot. :)

Can a human do this, "Danger Will Robinson, danger, danger!"?

Thanks for the heads up re: the time left, brother!

I have a poster in the works and an outline to tweak.

It's there now. Welcome to the fest. Go ahead and start a thread for your script.

Thanks Chris. I'm not sure how to start a thread for my script and why I should do this. I'm new to all of this. Could you talk me through it, please?

DarkElastic

Fossil, we create a Thread for our scripts so people have somewhere to write a review /comments about it.

Just click on the Start Thread at the top of the page and title it after your script. Normally, we then add a Log Line.

Good luck.

Thanks for this. Only problem is I cannot see a Start Thread at the top of this page. I see a Thread Tools, Search Thread and Rate This Thread. Am I going nuts?

Eric Boellner

fossil, up above the top post on this page you'll see a button what says "Reply to Thread." Above that, you'll see a chain of titles that says "Forum --> News --> ScriptFest X: TrappedFest --> ScriptFest X: TrappedFest - UPLOAD AVAILABLE." Click on the one third one, the one that says "ScriptFest X: TrappedFest."

That will take you back to this subsection of the forum, and there at the top of the page (just below that same title chain) will be a button saying "Post New Thread." Click that, and then you just have to fill in the title for the new thread (which should be the name of your script, followed by "by [YOUR NAME HERE]." For instance, "MONSTERS AT DAWN -- by Michael Traven"), and the post box. In the post box (the body of your post), you should include the logline, if you have one, and if you've made a poster, you can drag and drop it into the post box and it will attach the image.

Hope that helps. Cheers!

Thanks,

The second entry overwrote the first. Your thread will have the correct logline, so no worries.

Your piece is up with all the others, now all you have to do is read, review, and vote.
