Looks very impressive. It still amazes me how good it holds up when backlit by the sun, there's no clipping and no chromatic aberration, wonderful tonal rolloff, just a clean highlight. Love that.

The first shot of the film was in fact broken, somehow, the C300 wasn't capable of holding up the smooth gradations on the darkly lit white wall, and that was the first sign I saw so far of the 8bit vulnerability. I wonder if it would perform the same on a blue sky, as these tend to be extremely difficult for cameras to be able to hold all the gradual tonal transitions?

Ai ai ai caramba... please don't let this 8bit ruin the camera... I was already convinced, but the wall shot didn't hold up...

Again, thanks for finding and sharing this cowpunk!

I think it looks very much like a 7D in neutral but with higher resolution and no aliasing/moire.

Highlights and DR are lovely. Encouraging!

I must say, I'm loving this camera more and more (at least from what I've seen). I have no love for DSLRs in the professional production world but this looks like a completely different beast. I can't wait to get our hands on this thing. Get shipping Canon.

That lowlight is really incredible...

Just like the Canon DSLRs it wants light on the sensor. 5000 being cleaner than 850 is insane.....good times ;-)

Thanks, cowpunk for finding my next C300 fix! I was starting to go through withdraw symptoms.

Vimeo (or youtube) isn't capable of smooth transitions. Just like dvd isn't. Even if the original is perfect.

I'm not going to say that I'm not worried about banding issues, but I guess I will reserve my concern for seeing raw footage of examples such as this that I can plug into my NLE to see what it really looks like.

So basically ISO 20 000 on the C300 is about the same light wise as the 1D Mark IV is at 6400... Slightly disappointing.
