Hi everyone,
I was wondering if these two cameras would match closely enough to be used together. I have read where some people say no, and some say it's likely clients would be hard pressed to tell without pixel popping. Now that they have been out a few weeks, what do you guys think?
I realize the HPX has strengths in highlight handling and such, but without coaxing those abilities, are they close enough that simple color matching in post would work well enough or is there going to be a noticeable difference where people can tell "hey, it's a different camera" ? Or can they be made to match with significant post work, or in worst case, not at all...?
1080 and 720, Intra100 and AVCHD.
And since Intra 50 is a different pixel size 1440 vs 1920 I guess it's not an option at all.
Scenario 1. interview, dance, wedding. No grading. Just match up the settings, WB, etc.. and shoot.
One camera tight. One wide.
Scenario 2. interview, dance, wedding. No grading. Just match up the settings, WB, etc.. and shoot.
Both cameras shooting similar angles and distances.
And wait! There's more :)
Providing they can be used together, can the NLE edit footage from both on the same timeline?
Would you open a project for AVC Intra 100 and import all footage into that or open a project for AVCHD and edit with that?
Or would you have to transode one into the other (likely into Intra) so they are the same, and then edit from there?
Im using CS5 Windows - and - CS4, FCS3 Mac dual booting on a MacPro.
