Is it possible to have 24p and regular 30 video on the same timeline?

Is there anything that I should do or know to get this to work, it doesnt seem to turn out right when I do it.

As a note: I am filming a BMX video and would like to use both modes to film cause they are useful for different applications.

Thanks!

I have heard that if you slow 30p to 94% it actually makes it 24fps. and also gives it a subtle slow motion effect. Might be helpful. Where are you shooting your video?

...actually, youd have to slow it to 80% for a loss of 20% or 1/5 speed on a 30p timeline that would drop 6fps out of 30 to make 24 fps in one sec to place on a 24fps timline. the 6 frames would then carry over to the next second in the 24fps timeline. it gives you a 75% speed or a loss of 25% or 1/4 speed on a 24p timline essentially taking one second and stretching it out over 1 1/4 sec of temporal time as the 6 frames carried over take up 1/4 of the next second in a 24fps timline. it jumps to 25% loss instead of 20 cause there are only 24fps on a 24fps timeline and 6 is 25% of 24

but on a 30p timline .. yes 6 frames thown to the next second would only be a slowdown of 20% or 1/5.
