The time has come once again. Another fest deadline is nearly upon us and we are happy to announce the opening of the upload phase for Scare Fest 2011.

Please be sure to read through the rules again to be sure you haven't missed anything, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Follow the link below to begin your upload:

http://www.dvxfest.com/upload (http://www.dvxfest.com/upload)

You can download the approved leaders from the following location:
Approved DVX Fest Leaders (http://www.dvxfest.com/leaders/)

In the event you need to re-submit your film follow these steps:

Go to the above upload link (http://www.dvxfest.com/upload)
Fill out all the relevant information on the upload form, using the same values as you did the first time. This will help the system identify the original film and successfully replace it.
Notify myself, Jason Ramsey or Zak Forsman via PM and let us know you submitted a revised film so we can confirm it was received and that it successfully replaced the original.

This is my first DVXfest. Is there a file size limit? It seems I heard 100MB floated about, but I'm not sure if that is official?

Thanks. Is there a required dimension or aspect ratio? I've cropped mine to 2.35:1 - should I upload that or the 16:9 letter boxed?

What is everyone using for compression? I am fighting to make my file size smaller but I can't get under 200. I don't think I am going to make the deadline. :(

Premiere. I can get it down to about 350mb using MPEG-2 and that's the closest without it starting to look like crap.

It's been a while since I used Premiere, but I found this old thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?81189-BEST-QUALITY-Under-100MB&

I just did a h.264 test and @ 1500kbps - maybe a little higher and you should come in under 100MB.

Finally got it compressed but now it's taking forever to upload and even stalling. Damnit! How much longer until we're cutoff?
