Would someone mind shooting some complex movement like trees blowing in the wind, please. I want to see the codec failing so I can get some idea of how significant it is.
I can supply some web space if needed.
Am I right in assuming that the 24Mb/s of AVCHD will have fewer problems than the 35Mb/s MPEG2 that the EX1 uses?

Wow, I did not know that. I thought that the EX1 is considered to be sort of a gold standard, and is superior to AVCHD in quality.
Is there a short or easy explanation as to why this is the case? This is news to me.

What I find most impressive about Barry's test is how much noiser the EXCAM video is in comparision. The AVCCAM is much cleaner.
I think that Barry just sold a Panasonic camcorder to me. Now to finalize which model to get.
