I just picked up my HPX250 and hooked up my Letus 35mm Ultimate adapter. I zoom into the ground glass, set focus and pull back. Focus is set. I am using Nikon primes.

Here is the issue: I am losing focus when I go from full zoom out to about 27 on the zoom ring. Then the image goes back into focus. I cannot figure out why this is happening. It does not happen when I do not use the adapter. It is a problem that was not there on the HVX200 or HPX170. The reason it is an issue is this is how I "cheat"/turn my primes into a short zooms. I zoom in on the ground glass to change my focal length without changing lenses.
Any ideas why this could be happening? Is it a macro feature that can be disabled? Any thoughts would be most welcome or let me know if you have an adapter and can test this out.
Thanks,

Sorry if Im asking the obvious question but...did you leave autofocus on?

I found that our HPX250 won't focus at full zoom with our Letus Ultimates due to the longer MOD on the 22x. I have not seen a focus tracking issue, however.

That's what I was thinking but the macro focus seems to kick in much quicker than it did on the 200 or 170. I assumed that the lens could be doing it.

I agree, the macro focus is affecting the focus on the achromat. Macro focus is pretty aggressive on the 250 combined with MOD being longer with a 22X lens. I wish we could disable macro on the 250.
