SLog Luts and Exposure

Just got S-Log--where's it been all my life!? It think it activates polonium-210 and cosmic rays inside the sensor to suck in light like a black hole!
I am doing a bunch of shooting outside and even with gain ALL the way down, and 4 stops of ND on the glass, I still need to turn on the internal ND at T4-5 range.

There's been some back and forth on the threads about exposures, skin tones, etc. but can't seem to find them.

What kinda exposure are you looking for on skin tones? What about extreme highlights that you want to push into super white in post?

If you don't feel like reading all that, middle grey on the F3 with SLOG is 35 IRE. On Abelcines video it is labelled at 45 IRE but this is wrong, because there are suppose to be 6 stops over middle grey and 7.5 below it. Abelcine should fix that video, others including myself had already attached screenshots of the waveform monitor in threads - and it is incorrect!

Anyway, you have to choose where to expose your skin based on skin color, what will happen in post, and what range you want to protect more of ie. highlights or overall image.

Obviously the best thing to do is test and draw your own conclusions. Of course don't forget to post results here so we can see! :D
