Some of my projects coming up is shooting a music video for a hip hop group and a band. I'm trying to get some opinions on what's the best software to use for editing.........
Again this is a music video and not a film, so I'll be using various amounts of video effects, transitions, etc...... I have PP1.5 and maybe getting AE6.5........ I'm also pondering going with a mac and buying FCPro studio...... Avid is also a choice... I have a generous budget to buy these software products, and want to purchase the right product to serve my purpose of music video editing.

Thanks for your opinions.

the newest version of final cut pro that apple announced at NAB appears to be very good for music videos in particular due to multi source editing. i personally use final cut pro hd and i wouldn't choose any other system over it for the price. apple also gives great student discounts if that applies to you.

Thanks neighbor(N.Brunswick)..... by multi source editing, do mean footage from different cameras or different files... e.g. .avi, .mov, .mpg.......

thanks again
