Hello!

I usually download my footage from a SD card on the Sony NEX-FS100 to a Windows 7 PC by using the supplied USB keyboard that comes with the camera.

On a recent shoot however, I was supposed to hand off the footage to another editor, and he brought his Apple Macbook Pro to download the footage onto.
However, when I plugged the camera into the Apple Macbook, via the USB cord, the laptop was unable to recognize or access the connection.

Is there some special way to access Apple computers with this camera? I believe there was a thing you had to do for the Panasonic HVX200. Just wondering if it's the same deal here, or something to do with the formatting of the SD card I was using.

Macs should recognise the FAT32 format of the cards straight away. IIRC, the camera, when connected to the laptop via USB, just appears as a storage device.

I'd take the card out of the camera and just shove it (with adaptor or using built in slot) and go from there.
