I have about a 2.5 minute video that i completed. The File is about 600mg on my machine where it runs quite smoothly. howewver when i burned it to a cd it does not run very well it stops about every 2 seconds. the video and audio come in and out and it is essentially unwatchable. I would like to be able to send this in a CD rather than a dvd because almost everyone owns a PC and the compatability is easier to deal with. howver i must be doing something wrong. Does anyone know where i should start to look to fix thsi problem?

The CD can’t transfer data quickly enough for smooth playback for a WMV of the bitrate it must be to have a file size of 600 milligrams (sorry; joshing you). MB.

Have them save it to their own hard drives before they play it.

david, i got to thinking about your post earlier and then i redid the file in a size of 120mb. that seems to have solved the problem. now i can watch teh CD and not get the skips and stops

Glad you got it working, but as far as compatibility goes, isn't DVD pretty ideal these days?

With WMA, you might have to contend with codec versions, computer CPU speed, drive read speed, and so on. If it's a DVD, then it should play in any old DVD player ...

That would have been my next suggestion.
