I don't normally post in the FS100 forum since I'm a AF100 owner, but I saw this on ebay and thought some of you might be interested especially the the people that are coming from a Micro 4/3's camera and wish to keep all their lenses and lens adapters on their new FS100.

That' definitely interesting, thanks for posting it.

Since the MFT image sensor is a fair bit smaller than the FS100's (22.5mm diagonal as opposed to 27.1mm), there's a potential for vignetting. I'd be interested to know how many lenses would work and how well.

MFT flange depth is just shy of 20mm and Sony-E mount is 18mm, so that must be one thin adapter! Don't hang anything heavy on it.

I don't think m4/3 lenses will work with the fs100 because they are made for a smaller sensor, maybe teles but anything below like a 50mm will vignette.

You are more than likely correct, but there are some 2/3 lenses and some 16mm film lenses that cover the m43 sensor size and that is a lot bigger difference. Micro43 sensors really aren't a huge difference compared to S35 so you might get away with anything over 25mm who knows. The fact is no one will actually know until lenses are tested. To say the very least this will adapt all the m43 to Nikon/Olympus/Canon/etc adapters out there, so anyone using those will be able to transfer over. Or if you own both systems you are now able to save money on adapters.

In case you haven't heard Redrock just released an electronic Canon to m4/3 mount that you guys could use in conjunction with this adapter.

What I don't get is why Redrock wouldn't make it available with a emount? There's no electronics involved (AFAIK) it's just replace this mount with that mount?? No...
