I have been reading all over the internet and have had confirmation from sources at Sony that the NEX C3 uses the same sensor as the Nikon D7000, not the same type or a similar sensor but the exact same sensor. The difference being that the sensor in the Sony has been 'crippled' in terms of ISO and some other features of the chip. That being the case does that mean that at some point a hack may appear to 'unlock' some of the more advanced features of the sensor? I understand the market is is nowhere near as big for the NEX cameras as it is for the Canons etc. but there may be some usefulness in a NEX sized camera with D7000 capabilities.
