Anyone used the NEX-FS100 with either the Glidecam HD1000 or HD2000? Which one seemed to work better?

The HD1000 can hold up to 3lbs. The NEX-FS100 body is already pushing 2.5lbs. How much over can you think it can push?

I would think HD1000 would be too small for FS. I've got a HD2000, which I had initially bought to fly a 5D2.

Do you use an arm/vest combo too? Or just handheld? If handheld how quick do your arms get tired?

Even with the arm brace, I couldn't go for more than few minutes without having take a break. Once your arm starts to shake from fatigue, it renders Glidecam useless. With a vest, you can go pretty much all day -- definitely worth it if you've got the budget.

You're gonna need the 4000. yeah the body is 2.5lbs but with a lens its gonna be 5-8 lbs depending on your lens, monitor, etc. I have the 4000 pro and it works pretty well on it.

Yeah I would definitely go the 4000 aswell and even then I would be wanting to get a vest ;)

I can fly it on my 2000 but you're right - it's a killer. I can't go for more than a few mins at a time; it's good to run in, get the shot, and be done with it. Definitely needs the vest for all day work but I'm not doing enough GC work to justify the outrageous cost.

I've had the HD4000 for about two years now and I originally had it for my 5D2 and 7D setup, but it works great for my FS-100
The extra weight of the heavier cameras work better for steadicam shots
Also, I don't know why jetswing said he gets tired after using the arm and vest, but I can literally go for HOURS without resting on my Arm and Vest.. maybe I just have good stamina
I've done weddings and music video shoots where I was wearing my steadicam setup for hours at a time without taking it off

I have glidecam 1000 (used on the old cam) and the fs100 is too heavy :(, I'm going to sell it
