Sorry to ask such a basic thing, but I looked around the Sony website, and it's not clear to me, what the various models are and the differences. I know the UK has a lens, but how many variants of the FS100 are there in total, and what are the various designations and what exactly are the differences? Anyone know? Thanks!

For the US there are just two variants, with or without the lens. If you do any run and gun at all, get the lens, it can come in handy, and anyways, it is just $600 more and these things are selling on ebay for $700 plus. Get it, if you don't like it, sell it on EBAY for a profit.

Thanks, Kraut69. Yeah, the whole thing is cheap if you ask me - on B&H, it's going for $5K and $5600 respectively. Insane. Of course the AF100 dropped like a rock too, especially used :)

Is that true? I've read elsewhere that they're likely to go down to around $3,500. You guys think that pure BS or has an element of truth in this?

I'm leaning heavily towards getting an FS100, but if the AF100 goes for $3,500, it'd be dang hard to say no to it.
