Here's another test that I performed with the Ninja/FS-100. When I add a fake HDR effect to Canon 5D/1D/7D footage, it's plagued with blocky noise & looks terrible (especially with handheld footage).

It actually works pretty well with the FS-100 in both the native AVCHD & Ninja ProRes(HQ).

Does anyone see a significant difference between the two formats (ideally with the original file)?

There's nothing much in this that would challenge AVCHD, so you're unlikely to see much difference. With the ProRes, you'll be working in a 10-bit space, even if your source is 8-bit, and this will help with grading etc. You need more complexity in the shot and much higher motion to show the differences.
