Guys I need a straight on shot of a "ghost" walking through a wall. I have access to green screen, blue screen, After Effects and Combustion 3 if necessary. Can any of you guys explain how to do this or point me in the direction of a tutorial ?

Do a search for more suggestions - I remember a thread on this about three months ago.
In-camera, you can easily pull a partial-apparition using the Pepper's ghost technique, with the camera shooting the background plate through a piece of angled glass and the apparition placed against a black background off-axis in its reflection.
Disneyland uses these effects in the Haunted Mansion in realtime - think of the dancing ghosts in the ballroom that fade in and out of sight. A link to extensive BTS on how they do it here (http://www.doombuggies.com/secrets_ballroom.htm).
Others have suggested shooting ghosts as foreground plates and compositing them with transparency reduced to about 15 - 25%.
