ARRI 1000 watt light

Is it okay to clip Diffusion material to the barn doors of a ARRI 1000 watt Fresnel light? I don't want them to catch fire or anything.

Rosco and Lee material won't catch fire. They can melt, tough..

But answering your question, yes you can.

Yes, it's done all the time, but use common sense and spread the doors out as much as you can, and clip the diffusion so that it's as far from the lens as possible. And let some airflow get through.

And don't forget to use the industry standard C-47, or wooden clothespin for those unaware. They don't get hot and are easy to clip on and off.
