I am auditioning to play a role as a young Nazi that becomes a "leader" in the Reich. Hitler, Himmler, Goering.......
I have to embrace a thought pattern I detest. But I seem to fit the role physically. This is going to be tough.
Advice?

Really, the main conflict would be the choice to take it or not. If you choose it, you'll have to play your role without judgement to keep him truthful. You'll be his main cheerleader; you're selling his reality.
The two main considerations in taking the role would be 1) are you interested in challenging yourself and taking yourself there? 2) is this something that you can use to leverage your career, or would it possibly hinder it?

It is a challenging role, to say the least. The military demeanor, I can totally sell.
Funny thing is, this is not the first time I have been approached to play this type of role. Last time, the project fell through. Part of me wants this role, as it would take me out of my comfort zone, but not so much that I couldn't imagine it.
I do need to get out of my standard stuff, and grow as an actor. I look at the roles played in Valkyrie, and try to imagine the chops the actors used there.

Well, meeting with the director today. Not sure if it's an actual audition or not.

Well, I got "a" role on the film. Not the lead, lines-wise, but I got a supporting role as a "combat weary" officer with 7 lines. I will be the only one in period costume.
Could be some great stuff for the reel. Now to translate my lines into German.......... Oh Postman.......could use your assistance here.
