Hi
Saw this test on Vimeo
http://vimeo.com/25489873

But what I want to know is if it's still possible to obtain the same or better quality for stabilized footage within FCPX if you tweak the settings and don't leave them on default.
Anyone had time to conduct a proper test yet?

AE is a MUCH more robust program for stuff like this, hence I am not surprised. AE will do better the FCPX. Period.

That being said, get a shouldermount or something.

Does motion use the same technology as fcp x, or is it more robost?

From a stabilization standpoint, Motion's using the same method as FCPX, meaning it's not synthesizing any edge data like the new Warp Stabilizer can. You can at least set up some tracking points in Motion, though.

Apple did move Optical Flow retiming into FCPX, meaning you get nicer retimed shots if you enable it (previously only available in Motion).
