View Full Version : Should FCPX have it's own section separate to "Final Cut Studio".

It is a completely new program that cannot even import FCP7 files.
Many people might end up switching away from FCP so wouldn't it be better for them that they didn't have to trawl through all the FCPX threads while they continue to use earlier versions?
Does that make sense?
Surely in an operating system forum you wouldn't bunch OS9 together with OSX?
Perhaps they need to be together because of the common use of "Motion" etc?

makes sense to me.

I'll see what we can do, and appreciate the suggestion.

It may very well be too early for that kind of move. FCPX is much more capable than many here have realized and it is NOT iMovie Pro, though it edits very similarly. But, iMovie isn't represented here on the forums and it may make sense to put the two Apple programs that are from the same foundation and editing environment in the same sub-forum.
IMO, give it more time.

I was not trying to diss FCPX compared to FCP but just pointing out that it's different. I downloaded FCPX after reading all the reviews yesterday and I love it so far. But I understand the frustrations of others.

FCP X now has its own forum.
You're in it.
