Is anyone using a follow focus on their VG10 and if so with rods? I'd like to see any pics of kitted out VG10s, if they exist. Please list what you've used if poss. Thanks.

I'm using an Indie systems areeba rail system and using the follow focus reversed and on the zoom. overall I've been very happy with the system...full package including FF and mattebox under $1000, good build quality, lots of adjustment

S---! I got a Gini rig and a Patroff mattebox for $1K and no ff yet. Need help putting it all together.... What about zooming? Have you got a way to do that smoooooothly?

I kitted out my VG10 when I shot a short film with it... Zacuto baseplate/rails system, Chroziel mattebox, and Indifocus V3 with cine-pitch focus gears.
If you want smooth zoom, your best bet is to get a second follow focus and a focus crank, then gears for the zoom ring... It's still not going to zoom smoothly like a servo zoom, but it's better than the wobble you'll get from rolling it by hand. I just avoided the issue altogether - zooming isn't a big part of my style with large-sensor cameras. Too much shift in the depth of focus as there are no reasonably priced par-focal lenses.

You sold at the right time Jason ;-) Thank God I wouldn't know the difference between 24p and 30p if a lose frame hit me in the face ;-)
