Is this an HD camera as per the quote below from Toms Hardware. I have seen the same claim on another site. However, when I look at the specs, I don't see any mention of HD.
"If the AG-HVX200 seems a bit too "light", you can consider this "ultimate cameraman version", the AJ-SPC700. In terms of specs, it's identical to the AG-HVX200 when it comes to the HD, but it can withstand shocks, vibrations, high temperatures and humidity. This model has a 520000 pixel 3CCD chip, but getting this one might cost you an arm and a leg, just under $13,000. "

Perhaps they should stick to motherboard reviews over at Tom's because the AJ-SPC700 is *not* an HD cam--strictly DVCPRO and DVCPRO50. :) The AJ-SPC700 is designed as an ENG camera, although it does have 24p.

The amount of misinformation from reviewers of both Panasonic cameras is just staggering. The article on this site seems to be one of the few with correct and in-depth information.

The 3D movie mentioned this camera briefly. But, as we all know, it is Pro50, Not HD. Has pricing been confirmed? I never asked them for specifics on pricing; kind of taboo at a tradeshow IMHO.
Consider the price difference between SDX900 and SPX800 and it appears good logic at 13,000.

The SPC700 is, as I understand it, an interlace-only version of the SPX800. It's a lower-cost camera, it records to P2 only, and it's standard-def only (as in, DVCPRO-50 and DVCPRO-25). Kind of like the new HDX400 is to the VariCam, the SPC700 is to the SPX800.
Could be wrong, but that's the impression I got.
