Lets say you`re finally finished with the editing and proceed to
master the project out to tape.

Do you then keep the files from the project?
If you do..what do you keep?
Is it possible to just keep the finished timeline as it is "WITH" all the media contained on the timeline?..or are the timeline always empty? (have to keep all media files\bins intact).

Does the mixdown function contain all the media?
(What I basically want is to keep the program\timeline saved with the aproperiate media...not all of the unused media as well).

Pardon my engelsk. http://www.dvxuser.com/YaBBImages/smiley.gif

I would suggest you move the final sequence to its own bin, select it and then do a "consolidate" whuch will preserve just the media (+ handles) for everything in your timeline. You can then copy that to a DVD or other form of backup. Be sure to also backup the project and bins as well.
