3D Lut Processing

Sony's Juan Mendez during the Pre-Nab 2011 presentation was touting the 3D Lut processing of the FS100.

He says that 3D Luts maintains the black/white levels when the color is changing.

How new is 3D Lut processing? And which other camcorders have it?

I've seen TV manufacturers such as LG mention '3D Color' before so I was wondering if this is truly revolutionary.

Actually I have no idea but I just graded some FS100 test footage and was blown away how good that codec holds up.


Way better than DSLRs. At least in the same league as DVCPROHD.
