Ok... I'm already sold on this amazing camera. I think the camera looks great except for only one part...... that elephant snout eyepiece. I actually like the sony solution. I did some image manipulation and came up with this concept. Is it too late for a revision to the design? Oh well... here's hoping.

I'm sold on the camera too, but unfortunately.....I like the current look. I don't like the *redesign* you did with the *snout*.....it looks too fragile.
Can't wait to see if the *snorks* version turns out to be the final design.

After having 2 VX 1000 viewfinder ribbons break I think I'll pass and stick with Panny's version. Ugly or not it works. I know it's only a rendering of how you'd like to see the viewfinder, but it looks pretty breakable.
Pretty good work on the picture....:D

I agree, the Pana eyepiece is more durable for sure. I was just imagining what it would look like without the swoopy transition of the base.

your vesion looks alot nicer. if they just put some more angular form into that snorkle on it , it will be nice

I agree. I doubt they're gonna change it at this point, but it does look much better. Less "handycam-ish".
Great Photoshop work, btw!
