Does anybody know how the "trembling" or "shaking" effect of the picture was achieved in Ciaras HipHop Video:

I would like to use something like this in an upcoming project and I wonder if it can be done without too much hazzle in After Effects (or another program)

It looks a bit liek when I am driving in my car and have the stereo and bass turned up and I look in the mirror and everytime the bass comes the image in the mirror is trembling .

It looks to me like a quick digital zoom with a crossblend to the zoomed footage, then back again. Pretty simple to pull off in Vegas, a little harder in AE.

Here's how to do it with Vegas:

Take your clip and cut it into 3 parts

Clip 1: regular footage
Clip 2: slightly zoomed footage
Clip 3: regular footage again

Crossblend the END of clip1 over the BEGINNING of clip2.
Then Crossblend the BEGINNING of clip3 over the END of clip2.

The duration of the effects depends on the length of clip2. You can also try NOT crossblending back to clip3 and see if you like the "hop" it does. Lots of room to experiment here. Here's an image of what it looks like on my Vegas timeline:
