Are you using a third party program like PrCoder, Sorenson Squeeze or otherwise?

I use Media Cleaner 6, although I prefer Sorenson Squeeze if it is only a couple of files (I don't think you can batch in Squeeze). I also use Real Media producer for Real files (Media Cleaner will not work in OSX with real files - drag!).
The process I use for clients is QT refernce out of Avid and then render multiply compression files (low, medium and high, streaming and downloads, etc.). It is easy to batch all of these and give them plenty of options (of course you charge for it, but with a DP G4, compression files go pretty fast). Just my thoughts.

I have the sorenson squeeze too, but I was thinking when you go on export in avid what settings would be the best to export for a internet quicktime streaming ( inside avid ), or is it better to use 3rd party plugins?
for example I have a 1 minute clip that I would like to stream on my webpage... what encoder do you guys use for a mix of good quality and small file size..

I like Sorenson for Quicktime (good for motion and file size). I am finishing up some files now and sending them along to the web master, if he can get it on the web quickly (who knows?) I will post the address and you can take a peek.

If your going from Avid to Sorenson Squeeze, you want to use the "Send tO" command. This prepares the sequence as needed and drops it directly into Sorenson. From there use the preset settings or create your own depending on your needs.
