err which one is the right one, panasonics looks cleaner...

wow there is a difference. so.. im assuming the pana version is the right one.. unless the final version will become completely revamped.

The Pana version looks like a cleaner design--e.g. the P2 door is smaller and neater looking, so maybe the Pana is the latest.

Well the photos in the dvxuser aticle (see other thread) where taken Yesterday (i think) at NAB, right?

True, but that doesn't necesssarily mean much. The NAB cam could be a slightly earlier *working* prototype. Maybe the Panny photos show a non-working shell of the production camera. But it could certainly be either way.

Neither one necessarily represents the final cam. It may look exactly like one of these prototypes, or mostly like it, etc. Don't expect substantial changes in the form factor, but they may refine the design, move buttons around, etc.

Well...all I know is the *1st* pics to be posted were ASS ugly.

But personally....I love the *snorks* version of the cam. The current pictures that are on the Panny website, brochure, and Jarred's / Barry's article are awesome. I LOVE THIS LOOK.

Once you get the camera *tricked* out with the mattebox and follow focus...OH MY....this is gonna be one bad MAMMA JAMMA. Let's start a photoshop contest to see who can make it look the coolest with all the *gear* attached!! :thumbsup:

I hacked it up in Photoshop. The lens of the HVX isn't quite in the same angle as the mattebox, but it's the closest I could find.

I'm really, REALLY drooling over this camera. With or without mattebox. :thumbsup:

Oh, haven't you heard. Lebroz and I just got jobs in the Engineering Dept. at Panasonic. We are responsible for the final design now. We'll be posting our *works in progress* periodically on this forum for "customer feedback".
