Wanting 25P capture in Xpress Pro 4.3.1?Read this

I 've been reading the thread about getting progressive 25P capturing in 4.3.1 for us working in PAL. I had the same problem, but I found a solution :

All you need is this little file called "DvVideoRes_D25P.vr" which comes with xpress pro 1044.1.1 (also called the norwegian version). I downloaded it a while ago when it was free.
Now, to make a long story short, I took the liberty to
take this "DvVideoRes_D25P.vr" and put it in my xpress pro 4.3.1 folder (under video resoltuions), and voila, I could capture 25P at full res. in xpress pro 4.3.1 !!

I haven't tried editing much yet, so I'll keep you posted.

Good work! I suspect this will work fine, but use with cuation unil I hear back from engineering. I suspect there is some bug in there preventing the resolution from either being installed or recognized by the application.

Hi, if you take this file and put it in your avid xpress pro folder, under supporting files / video resolutions, you'll get 25p capture in full resolution. You can upload it right here at my page. Hopefully it will work, and Avid wouldn't sue me...

Do this at your own risk, it don't think it will get you into trouble, but you'll never know...
