If the intention is to shoot music videos, doesn't the avid's multiple camera editing option make it the clear choice over final cut pro, which does not allow multiple camera editing?
Am I missing anything else here? Does FCP4 kick the Avid Express Pro's bottom in any Music vid categories?
thanks,
Josh

Depends on the how the music video is shot, and what you are trying to do with the final look and feel of the video. You can certainly edit multicamera footage as single cam in either FCP or Xpress Pro but it is not as easy to select the proper angle for any point in time. This is a workflow advantage for Xpress Pro. Either system can do effects that may be needed, FCP has more direct access to the effects creation than Xpress Pro but the same result can be had with plug-ins, After Effects etc.

Not much of an issue with music videos since they are almost always shot with one camera.
Producers tend to like it for multi camera shoots as they can watch all of their isos at the same time and call the shots. It's pretty easy to just lay each camera on a different track and extract what nots wanted otherwise.
