I have been experiencing constants crashes on my first 25p project in which i am also animated stills with Avid Pan & Zoom Pluggin. Just two pictures so far: a 7,5 MB jpg and a 10mb psd. Why so big? Beacause i need to perform some dramatical zooms and pans....
But crashes arises. For example when when i try to insert an edit in the animated picture(as its not possible to trim a segment that have pan&scan on it) in order to copy/ use different part of the animation into different places.
The following is the 2 more common error messages:
ipl 2.5 rELEASE
iN FUNCTION IPLaLLOCATEiMAGE(): [FILE IPLALLOC.C, LINE 315] FOR ALLOCATE IMAGE DATA
iNSUFFICIENT MEMORY
(STATUS:-4)
or
BACKTRACE
(STATUS:-1)
eRRmODE=ipl_eRRORmODElEAF
tERMINATE THE APPLICATION?
yES
and after that a new WIN32 window terminating the program:
IPL Library: termination the application
or sometimes a "Microsoft Visual Basic C++" saying that its have been an unusual error and though terminating the application.......
I dont know if there is a way of avoiding this crashes or if i am working with too big files (althoug no being able to zoom a 7,5 mb picture is just a toy and not a pro pluggin! as i have Zeon dual processor and plenty of ram and hd (windows xp by the way))
Maybe its a bug on Xpress Pro with the Pan and Zoom!. I havent found anything on avid knowledge center. Maybe you Michael have a tip :)
thanks to anybody for sharing any kind of information
