Can anyone in the LA area confirm whether this is for real?

Is it out already?

No it's not.

Helpful advice-

1) Don't trust any rental company that advertises on craigslist.

2) They don't have the FS100

Would you really want to patronize a shop that was intentionally misleading?

You don't need spidey-scense to note that something is odd here.

I guess technically you could correctly say "Embassies of Cinema", but as this company only appears to have only one location, it seems to me that 'Embassy of Cinema' would be the more logical choice.

They could be referring to a diplomatic body when they say "embassies", but actually "embassy" would be the correct plural in this regard.

If they are saying that Cinema (perhaps as a concept) is so broad that there are many kinds, and they provide aid to all of them, then perhaps plurality should be expressed for "Cinema" as well as "Embassies".

I suppose they could be referring to the staff of an embassy which is usually headed by an Ambassador and if you look at the tagline which seems to be that they want to help people, so if there's at least two people in charge of an embassy that are being helpful, perhaps Ambassadors of Cinema would be more correct based on the intention.

Anyway I've gave up renting equipment from anyone who seems to low-rent or fly-by-night 10-years ago, because the fly-by-night people, don't pick up the phone when there's a problem and if they do pick up the phone, the chances are they don't have a hot spare of anything you rented should it go down. If a much larger(premiere) rental facility won't subrent from a fly-by-night then neither should you.

There's some craigslist advertisers that don't even own a fraction of the equipment they claim by listing it as a rental item. Personally I'm done patronizing companies subrent all the major bits of kit for just a simple rental. I recommend that if you have never done business with a rental house before, go see them way in advance, you maybe in for a nasty surprise if you don't.

You're almost certainly right, Ilya. My spidey-sense is tingling. But my curiosity is killing me. If I was in LA, I would drive over there and check them out.

If anyone in the Burbank area is as curious as I am, here is their info, in the event that the craigslist ad is removed or expires:
