Avid Express 3.5, everthing is working fine.... able to capture.
But not able to see timeline video playback on the NTSC monitor.
Is there a secret agent setting?
Went to Legacy Monitor Mode Selection.
Checked DV Device Supports Video
Checked Send Video to DV Device(Client Mode Enabled)

The video from Avid should loop through the camera to display on my NTSC monitor???Correct. I am going S-Video from Camera to NTSC Monitor...this has worked on FCP etc fine.

Thanx

Are there any effects applied to the timeline?

No effects, when Avid boots up camera goes to black like you think it should. I then digitize a clip from video...close capture drop clip in timeline....plays fine on computer monitor...no loop through to NTSC...weird.

This camera works fine in all other editing apps

Taylor, in DV (as well as Pro w/out Mojo), there is a circular button on the right of the timeline toolbar. when it's green, most effects will play in realtime, but only on the computer, no output to tape. clicking it will turn it blue, and Avid will send out to your deck/camera/monitor, but will not play unrendered effects. trade-off here is speed vs. big view.
