Just a quick note to let you all know what we are planning for NAB 2011, as it's just around the corner...

We have a team of a half dozen DVXuser.com crew working to cover NAB this year!

We will be working to bring a mix of live & extended coverage throughout the week.

One crew will be working the show floor to bring in depth video interviews with manufacturers and vendors about all the latest gizmoes, gadgets, tools and toys of the trade.

Other team members will be blogging, posting, tweeting, etc.. information and photos live from the show floor and selected press conferences.

As is normal, conversation is bi-directional. We will strive to monitor the forum, twitter, e-mail, etc.. to relay questions and requests for information for those members of the community that can't attend in person.

The first big event on our schedule is the Panasonic Press Conference at 12:30pm Pacific Time (3:30pm Eastern) on Sunday.

We will also try and hit up Sony at 2:30pm (Pacific) assuming we can get there in time after the Panasonic event.

Jake and I jsut got our Media credentials and are scoping out the location for the Sony presser this afternoon. We just checked that there should (hopefully, knock on wood) be no problem making it in time after the Panasonic event.

Now back to PH for the Panasonic presser.

Okay, after one full day of NAB, there must be lots of cool things from companies other than Panasonic, Sony, Adobe, Black Magic, Sound Devices, and Small HD. Please fill us in on some of the other interesting products.

Oh, and Mikko, thank you for posting the pictures, but could you please add descriptive titles to them? Some are obvious, but some are not.

Thanks for helping out the rest of us who can't make it this year.

Ill go through my photos here in a few minutes and give a little summary of what I saw.

Today was kinda of weirdly unproductive for me actually. I spent a lot of time walking; but not much looking. Last year's show seems like literally only last week; so it seems like I've seen it all!

I know the video crew was busy out shooting a bunch today. I expect we'll see some cool video from them soon.

One thing that would be of major benefit to my coverage is a little direction towards interesting products / companies from you guys here on the internet.
At the show, we really have no idea what's going on. Network coverage is spotty, and it's just impossible to keep up with what's going on online; let alone stuff like product announcements. And if we don't here about it; we can't cover it.
Most (if not all) stuff on the forum we don't see until we get online at the end of the day.

So, please, if/when you guys hear about stuff you want more information on; please use the form on my live coverage page ( http://nab.mikkowilson.com ) to send me little messages to my phone. Or you can e-mail me directly at phone@mikkowilson.com - Or even just send me a PM (which I also get via e-mail).

"Tell us everything" unfortunately is just too much ground to cover manually when there are 1500 companies to see in 4 days.
