Now the whole "under 10.000" discussion has an end. JVC Pro UK has notified: "The [...] list price, including 16x Fujinon zoom lens, will be under 6,000€ (Six thousand Euros)." Read it at: http://www.jvcpro.co.uk/news/releases_html?atype=release&releaseID=1192.

Ran it through a currency calculator, it said that'd be about 4,600 dollars.

That can't be right, can it? :O

EDIT: Yeah, tried different site which said $7,761.60. That sounds more accurate.

The official exchange rate from Euro to Dollar is about 1:1,2925. But that is not the whole story. In the USA you can buy the DVX for 3.400 dollars, while in Germany you have to pay about 4.000 euro. Some companies seem as they would want to make their benefit from Europe, and that is not very nice. But for you living in the USA: I think, you will get the new camera for under 6.000 dollars.
