hi all

i'm filming a doc on this stunning ag-dvx100ae - great choice - and i'm using squeeze mode. is there a simple way to view the video stretched out to all its 16:9 glory or do i really have to go through the process of hunting down and purchasing a specialist monitor?

cheers!

dan

if you have final cut pro -- or any other good editor -- capture your tape in a 16x9 sequence then drop the clip in a 4x3 timeline, render, then voila. 16x9 on a 4x3 screen.

magic, I tell you.

you could also use a transvideo arc-aspect ratio converter.

it's an inline device that converts 1:78 or 2:35 to fit correctly in a 4x3 monitor
through clever use of a widescreen matte--just like on a dvd.
