Widescreen Output.

I recently installed Avid Xpress Pro on my PC. I want to be able to work with widescreen projects and format them with the black bars so that when I output to tape, it will display as 16x9 on 4x3 TV's. Is this possible with the standalone proggy or do I need Mojo?

Also, I do plan on getting Mojo soon. I want to send output from Mojo to my 4x3 Toshiba TIMM monitor. However, I want to view the project in widescreen (not vertically stretched) at all times. Can I do this and if so, how?

I would create a 3D DVE that scales down the vertical to the appropriate ampount. I can't think of what the slider values are now... I'll get back to you on it.

As far as tape output, throw a Resize effect on it (Image/Resize). Once you've done that, scale the Height to 75, keep the width at 100, and turn off 16:9 monitors.

As far as the monitor issue, I'm not sure.

Horizontal is actually 77% but 75 will look fine.
Use it as filler over all the other clips and ya won't have to do it per clip.
