Hi, I was thinking about doing a detective movie/short the other day and got an interesting idea. I'm in Las Vegas, so I can't really have a good New York/L.A./San Francisco office with other buildings and traffic in the background. This means I would have to use a dorm room or build an office set. So, I got an idea, why not put green screen material over the windows behind the blinds and get some wide scenery shots from one of the above locations for backdrops for the office windows in the office set? But, I would have more than one window, so would I be able to take footage from two or three angles and choose which window to place the different footage in?

Window A would have footage of buildings from the left angle
Window B would have footage of buildings from the middle POV
Window C would have footage of buldings from the right angle

Would this be possible or can only one angle be used?

Get a room at MGM Grand facing the strip and shoot with NewYork NewYork out the window.

Just kidding from a fellow Las Vegan!

Your idea should work. Maybe simplify it with only one or two windows.

Well..... what if I wanted 3? Would that be too difficult?

If your camera will be locked down, it won't be much of a problem to composite outside scenes into the windows... If it will be moving and panning, you'll have a hard time keeping the perspectives correct unless the scenes were shot with the same camera moves and perspectives.

Well, ok then! I was planning mostly to have fixed shots, no panning or anything like that. Thanks a lot guys for your input. =)
