View Full Version : Filters and Lenses
I just purchased a DVX100A and am looking to snowball on some projects. Some key elements for my first short is DOF and filters. I will be shooting two sunsets. One must be regular, and the other must be grapefruit red. I have a UV filter, but what sort of filters could I use to modify the sunset of it doesn't have that look initially. I know I could do it in post, but I would rather do it on set. Any suggestions?

You thinking of using a Mattebox on this or a threaded filter?

i think tiffen had a filter that was an odd color close to a grapefruit, they have a tangerine and a grape. do a search on b&h for tiffen 4x4 filter and that will get you started.
of course if your going to order a filter give rush@evsonline.com a chance to quote on it.
i know i have a set of the magenta ones and the coral and you can get some neat looks.

Doing it in post is a much better idea, you're gonna lose some of that precious light due to the fact that you've got that little grapefruit filter on there my friend. :undecided
