Very interesting test of the F3 and AF-100. For now it is the most professionally made I think from a very serious site. For Dynamic range the standard F3 (without s-log) seems to be very good. A solid 12 stop with a hint of another stop in the shadows, perhaps with a cleaner signal from the sdi output it could be really usable. Sony seems to be right when they said they were very conservative on there claimed signal to noise/dynamic range of this camera. With s-log perhaps it wont be that far off the Alexa...

For resolution and moire test some big surprise!!!

a solid 12 stops in a rec 709 space! I can't even imagine what s-log is going to bring!

Absolutely - its extremely good. Not even imaginable at the price 2 years ago.

Adam sure knows how to write an article and the best part is you can trust them.

Definitely! Interesting to see how well the af100 did with IR and aliasing as well. So many great cameras to choose from these days, 5 years ago it would only be a dream

Yeah, I was surprised that the F3 is still sensitive to IR, especially since Sony fixed that problem on the EX1R. Also surprised that the chroma moire was worse than the AF100's. But the 12 stops latitude looks pretty yummy.

When Sony opens the camera up with the update later on this fight is going to get good. :)
