in fight scenes, how do they break a liquor bottle over a persons head? in reality that would send someone to the hospital.

These days they use a different types of weak plastics or silicone rubber to make stunt glass. It still hurts when you get hit with it but not much more then getting hit with a wet nurf ball.

Back in the old days they used sugar glass, which is made from water, sugar, corn syrup. It's difficult to work with, but cheap to make if you are looking for something.

also I need to do a part where dude gets thrown thru a window. I've been thrown thru a real window before and it was not pleasant.

I spent $60 on bottles with no fake labels (the picture had labels). "We don't get them from the supplier."

Anyways, I had luck with this place:

My advice is to really slap someone a few times before you use the bottle. If they flinch before they get hit, it ruins the shot, and that gets expensive at $17 a take.
