View Full Version : 24p or 23.976p for project shot in 24p(A)?

I just noticed that Avid added 24p projects to 4.5.1. I'm confused about which setting to use for projects shot in 24p(A) on the DVX100A. All these numbers are all freaking confusing. I reckon that I somewhere that you have to have a mojo to digitize at 24p. Is this true? Any help in clearing up the fog would be quite helpful. I'm on a DP800 G4 with 4.5.1 and no mojo.

The DVX100 camera only captures at 23.976 so you should use that project type. The two project types are used for different reasons beased on frame rate of the acquistion and audio sample rate of the audio.
See the article I wrote for the Motion Picture Editor's Guild on this topic:
There is no need for a Mojo for DV25 capture of ADVANCED pulldown over FireWire.
