Just wondering if anyone from this area (students in particular) and wanted to meet up, work on something, as I just bought my DVX!
Oh my friend, you just opened a can of worms. I'm applying to CSULB for winter semester of 06.
Keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully we can meet up then.

Oh cool. I'm a third year Film Major at CSULB right now, I give the program a hearty recommendation (though the number of slacker students in it may be a bit discouraging at first).
Did you submit a short when you tried to get into the major? If so, do you still have a copy of it I could take a look at?

Nah, I transferred as a junior from community college, and the only requirement to get into the major is that you have and maintain a 3.0 GPA average. I do have a couple of shorts that I made in high school that you can check out at http://charlie.mg2.org, in the "Video" section, one of which (Switch) won the 2002 San Diego Best Fest Student Film Festival.
Aww crap, I was on the web site reading the requirements for new students this whole time.
I'm coming from a JC too, so all I need is a 3.0? That seems a little defeatist doesn't it?

Why don't you guys come up the Manhattan Beach User Meetings. We're only 20 miles North if that.
Well I'm still in Northern California.
Also, I hate you.
