For the few of you that have the MTF adapters in hand and a camera, if you were to put a gear strap around the IRIS adjustment band, is there enough room to get a follow focus/IRIS motor in there? I am talking about a vertical motor similar to this one...

Can you please tell me what brand and model that motor is?
Thanks ... and greetings from Brugge, Belgium

Anyone actually get their hands on a MTF Nikon to F3 adapter or is it just theory at this point!? ;-)

I have my MTF Nikon adapter. Don't own a motor like that, but it should fit just fine. I'm using cinemodded Zeiss ZF lenses and my Redrock follow focus (manual, not motor) fits just fine.

Also, the mount locks very snugly. Which is good!

I have mine as well. I'm shooting with the F3 on a Jimmy Jib on Monday, and we'll have a Preston follow focus unit hooked up. Should work out without any problems. The MTF adapter is solid, and there's a screw that fits into the iris of Nikon G type lenses. The back collar of the adapter rotates to control the iris with a locking screw. Its a great way to control a non manual iris without electronics. Nice work Mike!
