New Jersey?

Is there any interest in New Jersey or should I just get into the city?

I have a screenwriter's group I belong to in New Jersey (we have been meeting for 7 years), but I haven't been able to find a filmmaking group.

it was going for 2 weeks strong,

i called every single person that i met at the first meeting...

people just were not interested at working together...

i think a lot had to do with direction, some people where semi pro most new to things.

the people that are good and know there stuff didnt feel the need to push things along with people that knew less and where less experienced.

oppressor i would say you where the upper semi pro classman and top 3 at experience, so how many phone calls private messeges or emails have you made to make this dvx user group in new york happen(no im not trying show you up, from what i have seen you are pretty darn good at what you do, and i'm guessing you will follow up to this messege unlike others that i try'd to contact)

peece n as far as i'm concerned dvxuser group in new york is a go!!!

just post in thr nyc post im gona post again(1st time and 2nd no replys) new jerseyians are welcome as well from fairlawn to trenton even the poor in hoboken(not funny)

Our screenwriting group meets on the first Saturday (9 am to noon) of every month.

We meet in a private room at Cafe Beethoven (a cool little coffee shop) in Chatham, NJ.

We have been doing this for over 7 years.

At each meeting we read a member's screenplay (often with actors reading the parts) and then we have a discussion about it afterwords.

It is a fantastic group and we currently have a dozen members.

If you are interested let me know and I will get you some more information.

I havnt heard from anyone since then but I have been real busy getting a few things moving and my schedule (which is actually written out) keeps me busy until the end of July. I have only really checked out the boards a few times to check on something else but figured you guys would have hooked back up by now.

hello.

i have a friend doing a show in wayne nj. on june 5th and i was thinking about going down to shoot it and it would be great if i could find any other dvx users down there.

doesn't pay anything but i'd buy dinner afterwards and pay for lunch the day of.

the show is only like half an hour long. i just want to get it from as many angles as i can for editing.

Mathew.... I would have been into that.... unfortunately, like yourself, i too have a shoot on June 5. I'll be filming the "NJ Talent America Preliminary" at the Paterson Museum. Funny I didn't even think of asking for help using another camera. The multicam editing would have been great. Gotta remember for next time.
